For several years eLINIA has worked very closely in partnership with Method 4 delivering a number of complex bespoke systems and key corporate assets.
One example of our work together is the Data Exchange Wales Initiative (DEWI), which is a browser deployed secure data collection, validation and reporting system used in school and local authorities across Wales and managed centrally by the Welsh Assembly Government. Amongst many others, there is also the delivery and support of two bespoke, and highly secure, file exchange systems (called Secure Exchange) for a major European high street pharmacy and a global reinsurance corporation.
In particular, we worked closely with Method 4 to develop Secure Exchange. The system is a fully supported service based on Method 4's proprietary Method 4 Exchange technology, which offers a secure way for organisations to transfer and share files across the Web. It enables users to upload and download large files directly from a password-protected portal, via a secure and encrypted SSL connection. Users can be assigned role-based access to files, offering the flexibility of a secure, federated identity model.
James Carnie, Sales Director at eLINIA, commented: "Our partnership with Method 4 offers a robust solution to a very real and widespread problem. Email size limits make sharing large files difficult, so businesses adopt a variety of practices that can compromise security. Hard-copies lost in transit are just the tip of the iceberg. It's not uncommon to see individuals using their own web-based email accounts to transfer files, unaware that data can be easily intercepted in this way."
Christian Coates, managing director of Method 4, said: "Finding a trusted hosting partner is vital to the success of our on-demand, secure file exchange model. eLINIA's ability to meet the most stringent government and FSA standards gives us a strong joint proposition that will support the rapid expansion of our business, and help us break into new markets."
