Analyst house tips eLINIA as "one to watch"

eLINIA has been tipped as "one to watch" in the managed hosting space, in a recent report by analyst house Quocirca.

The report focuses on the continued success of European managed hosting in the wake of the economic downturn.

The ability to ensure a high availability of business critical IT infrastructure, leading in turn to a reduction in risk, is one of the most attractive elements of managed hosting, according to the report.

The flexibility and security of the infrastructure provided by managed hosted providers has also been pinpointed as a key selling point by the analyst house.

Bob Tarzey, Analyst at Quocirca, commented: "All businesses have a core focus and for managed hosting providers that is the provision and management of top quality IT infrastructure services.

Businesses that recognise the benefits of a highly available and secure computing platform should consider turning to experts for the provision of this, freeing their organisation to focus on its own core activities."

Justin Lewis, operations director at eLINIA explained: "Managing a business critical IT infrastructure is a 24/7 job, but many organisations pay highly skilled IT professionals to do often mundane work on the off-chance something will go wrong and need fixing."

"Outsourcers manage IT infrastructure more cheaply and proficiently than most businesses are able to do in-house, enabling organisations to trim costs whilst still deploying highly skilled IT staff."

"We expect continued growth for the business through the acquisition of major new customers and targeted strategic partnerships.  We also predict a sharp increase in demand from customers in areas such as cloud computing and virtual based infrastructures, because of the low entry costs due to the dramatic reduction in capital expenditure.  To coincide with this eLINIA will be increasing its overall capabilities and offerings."

The report also highlights the strength of eLINIA's green offering, thanks to the carbon neutral power-generation facilities of the company's Slough data centre, which is powered using biomass.
