Secretary of State for Wales visits high performing eLINIA

Secretary of State for Wales, RT Honourable MP Peter Hain, visited eLINIA, the Cardiff-based managed hosting provider, which has grown to become one of the country's leading IT service providers since its launch in 2005.  eLINIA, which counts the National Trust, the Welsh Assembly and Honda UK amongst its ever-growing portfolio of customers, experienced a 30% growth in 2009, in spite of the current economic climate.

The Welsh Secretary of State said: "I am delighted to have had the opportunity to visit a company doing well in Wales when we know times are difficult.  The success of eLINIA shows the talent and expertise we have here in Wales and I wish them all the best for the future."

John Jones CEO of eLINIA commented: "We are honoured to have the Welsh Secretary of State visit us in recognition of our continued growth and success. This acknowledgement from a cabinet minister is a huge encouragement for the entire team."

eLINIA has increased its revenues by over 300% and more than doubled its workforce since 2007. The business was recently shortlisted for the UK IT Awards Environmental Project of the Year for its success in curbing the National Trust's carbon emissions and cutting the charity's IT costs.

eLINIA is part of the Welsh Assembly's Knowledge Bank for Business (KB4B) scheme. KB4B provides tailored support for high growth companies in Wales.
